The Neuk’s Contribution to Scotland’s Mental Health Framework

At The Neuk, we are committed to ensuring that individuals experiencing mental health distress receive the right support at the right time. That’s why we were pleased to contribute to the Scottish Government’s stakeholder engagement exercise, which has helped shape two key reports that will influence how services collaborate to support those in crisis.

Framework for Collaboration & Collaborative Commitments

The Framework for Collaboration outlines principles for a multi-agency, person-centred, and trauma-informed approach to crisis support, ensuring that individuals are not passed between services but instead receive timely and appropriate care.

The Collaborative Commitments Action Plan sets out practical steps to improve how mental health, social care, emergency services, and third-sector organisations work together, with a focus on reducing barriers between services and ensuring people in distress are properly supported.

These reports will help shape the way mental health services operate in Scotland, strengthening partnerships and enhancing the care available to those in crisis.
