In Thurdsays Perth and Perthshire edition of The Courier, there was a bulletin about the partnership work with The Lighthouse Perth.
Congratulations to The Lighthouse on getting this funding.
It is our vision to provide a local service specifically designed to support people in crisis through a multi-agency, peer-supported crisis house to address some of the need in Perth and Kinross locality. We believe this will provide early intervention support or crisis intervention and lead to avoiding problematic and sometimes unnecessary assessments out of area therefore reducing the impact on individuals.
We want to capture local knowledge and experience from organisations and groups already on the ground, and work in partnership to provide a consistent and compassionate response to crisis and distress.
The model within The Neuk encompasses the Recovery-Orientated Systems of Care. Promoting the values of Person-Centred, Self-Directed and Strength Based approaches. Individuals presenting needs will be responded to with respect and compassion, their support will be co-ordinated with appropriate agencies, and the clients’, families and carers voices will be integral in the decisions around their support. This approach will help develop strong relationships between clients and their support system, leading to more effective long-term outcomes.

A massive thank you to Aucherarder Running Festival, athletes raised £507.28 and gave most welcomed food donations.
We love that local events are sponsoring our charity 100% of these donations go directly to people using our services.
I’m delighted to say we ran two very successful initiatives to help Anchor House and particular thanks must go to Fiona Watt who has organised the running festival for the last 3 years! Fiona kindly agreed to send a request out to all competitors taking part in either the 10km or half marathon asking for any non-perishable food items and we also put on tea and coffee for the athletes and spectators and asked for any donation to go towards Anchor House
