About Anchor House

Anchor House is an established charity based in Perth and Kinross. We provide a comprehensive range of needs-led services, this includes accommodation and support services to those that experience homelessness, disadvantage and exclusion.

The Aims of Anchor House are:

To alleviate – Poverty , Homelessness, Disadvantage, Discrimination & Social Exclusion.

To promote – Equality, Minority rights, Advocacy on behalf of others, Participation & Needs-led services.

To believe in – Social Justice, Community, Collective responses, Diversity & Preventative Action.

The support we offer includes:

Person centered support.
Support to maintain a tenancy.
Support finding more suitable accommodation
Help with setting up a home when a tenancy is signed.
Help applying for benefits
Financial advice
Help with finding work and training and accessing other specialist services
Someone to talk things over with
Help with volunteering and work experience
Dealing with isolation and loneliness
Confidence building
Accessing education, employment and leisure services
Advice and support to keep safe.

We encourage independent living by investing in a prevention and early intervention model. In 2019 we supported 163 people across our existing services.
